What we shoot in Plantation

An older suburb with real trees

Plantation was built out decades before the western cities and its streets carry mature oak and ficus canopy that Weston and Pembroke Pines simply do not have. That canopy is a genuine selling feature and a genuine exposure problem, and it is the single thing that most distinguishes shooting here.

Plantation Acres and the large-lot market

The western Acres section carries lots large enough for horses, workshops and detached structures. For those listings the boundary, the usable land and the outbuildings matter as much as the house, and only an aerial shows them.

Golf frontage around Jacaranda

Houses backing the Jacaranda courses sell partly on the outlook. The fairway is private property, so we photograph the view from the listing side of the line or from an approved aerial position rather than walking a course for a better angle.

Renovated versus original

A large share of Plantation stock is 1960s to 1980s houses, some renovated to a high standard and some entirely original. The gallery has to make clear which it is, because a buyer who arrives expecting the first and finds the second does not come back.

Shooting in Plantation: what is actually different

Plantation is a mature suburb rather than a master-planned one, which means the constraints are older and more varied: trees, one-off floor plans, a general-aviation field next door and a mix of HOA and non-HOA streets.

Fort Lauderdale Executive is right next door

Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport sits immediately east of the city, and its airspace reaches across a substantial part of Plantation with grid-specific approved ceilings. Aerial work is flown by FAA Part 107 certificated remote pilots; LAANC authorisation is filed by the pilot before every controlled-airspace flight. We check the grid for the exact address before quoting drone, because two listings a mile apart here can get very different answers.

Canopy, and the hour that works under it

Mature oak and ficus over an older street means the exterior sits in broken shade with sunlit patches several stops brighter across the same wall. We bracket every canopy exterior and shoot late in the afternoon where the street orientation allows, so the light arrives under the trees rather than through them.

Not every street has an association

Plantation is a patchwork: some neighbourhoods are governed by an HOA with rules about vendor parking and common-area photography, and many older streets have none at all. We ask at booking which applies, because assuming either way creates a problem.

One-off floor plans, not builder repeats

Unlike the master-planned western cities, Plantation houses are frequently individual — extended, reconfigured, with additions from three different decades. That makes a measured floor plan and 3D tour more valuable here, because a buyer genuinely cannot infer the layout from the elevation.

Plantation Acres access and ground condition

Acres properties are often reached by long drives, sometimes unpaved, and after summer rain the ground can be soft. We ask about access at booking and flag unrepresentative ground conditions rather than delivering frames that make a paddock or a lawn look worse than it is.

Storm season across central Broward

From June through November storms commonly build through the early afternoon. Morning exteriors are the default in those months, twilight is held for the drier half of the year, and weather-ruined exteriors or twilights are reshot at no charge.

Services we shoot in Plantation

Drone photography in Plantation

An aerial shows lot size under the canopy, golf frontage in context, and — in the Acres — the boundary and outbuildings that make a large-lot property what it is. Because Fort Lauderdale Executive sits immediately east, availability and approved altitude are genuinely address-specific and get confirmed before drone is quoted.

3D virtual tours in Plantation

This is a market of individual, much-modified houses rather than repeated builder plans, which is precisely where a scanned tour earns its cost. Room sizes, how the additions connect and where the odd step-down sits are all things photographs imply and a measured tour settles.

Video walkthroughs

A horizontal walkthrough for the listing page and a vertical cut for social, from one visit. In Plantation the walkthrough is worth opening on the street, because the canopy and the maturity of the neighbourhood are a real part of what distinguishes it from the newer suburbs west of here.

Video walkthroughs

Twilight exteriors

Under a canopy there is no open sky to lift the shadows, so twilight here is a lit scene rather than an ambient one. We arrive an hour early, light the facade and the planting from the ground, set the interior lamps, and work the blue hour rather than arriving into it.

Twilight photography

Virtual staging

Plantation carries a steady flow of estate sales and long-held family homes coming to market empty, often with dated finishes. Virtual staging on the main living spaces restores scale without misrepresenting the condition. Listing images must accurately depict the property, so staged files are labelled and the unstaged originals supplied.

Plantation real estate photography pricing

Plantation listings price from the same square-footage matrix as the rest of South Florida, with no travel fee anywhere in Broward County. A townhome or smaller house sits in the entry tier; a larger canopy-street house or an Acres property with outbuildings usually lands at Standard or above. Book by phone: no deposit — invoiced after you approve the gallery. Book online: a 20% deposit holds your slot; balance after delivery.

Plantation photography challenges we solve

Every Plantation listing is different. Here's how we make each property's strengths impossible to miss.

Canopy shade against sunlit stucco

Mature trees over an older street put several stops of range across a single facade, and a phone or a single exposure loses one end of it.

Our approach: Bracketed exteriors blended by hand and booked late in the day, so the canopy reads as an asset rather than as a black ceiling.

Drone availability that changes street by street

Fort Lauderdale Executive’s airspace reaches across much of Plantation, so two nearby listings can get completely different approved ceilings.

Our approach: Grid checked for the exact address before drone is quoted, with elevated alternatives offered where a flight is not available.

Buyers cannot tell renovated from original

A gallery that flatters an unrenovated 1970s interior wins showings from buyers who leave annoyed, which costs the agent more than it gains.

Our approach: Honest lighting and framing plus a measured tour, so condition and layout are clear before anyone drives over.

Large-lot value invisible from the ground

In Plantation Acres the boundary, usable land and outbuildings are most of the value and none of it reads from the driveway.

Our approach: An aerial set establishing the boundary, the land and the relationship between the house and the outbuildings.

The Plantation market, and how we shoot for it

Plantation is the most competitive market in our central Broward coverage. Redfin’s Plantation housing-market page reported a median sale price of about $530,000 and roughly 69 days on market when we checked it in September 2026 — around ten weeks, faster than the coastal condominium corridors and comparable to Weston.

What makes Plantation different from the western cities is age. It was built out decades earlier, so the houses are individual rather than repeated, the trees are mature and the streets vary block by block. That means a buyer cannot use a floor-plan name as shorthand the way they can in a master-planned community; they have to read the gallery carefully, and they will.

It also means condition is the central question. Plantation inventory ranges from meticulously renovated to entirely original 1970s, at prices that sometimes do not obviously distinguish the two. A gallery that is honest about which it is attracts fewer but better showings. One that flatters an unrenovated house produces a run of visits that end in the driveway, which costs the agent more time than the extra traffic is worth.
