West Palm Beach sells two things that have almost nothing in common. One is a stock of 1920s houses in El Cid, Flamingo Park, Grandview Heights and Old Northwood — Mission and Mediterranean Revival architecture with original detail, protected façades and floor plans that predate open-plan living. The other is a downtown waterfront of condo towers along Flagler Drive whose value is the view across the Intracoastal to Palm Beach island and the walk to Clematis Street.
The historic stock is the harder shoot, and it is where most listing photography here goes wrong. These houses have small rooms, low ceilings by modern standards and small original windows, and photographing them the way a new build is photographed produces exactly the cramped, dim gallery that makes a buyer scroll past a house they would have loved in person. They need lighting and composition that shows how the rooms connect and what the original detail actually is.
The other constant here is the airspace. PBI Class C covers much of the city, and Palm Beach island attracts VIP temporary flight restrictions that appear with little notice and reach across the water. A TFR is absolute — no authorisation overrides it. We check before every aerial, and we would rather tell you the day before than fail to deliver the shot.
Newest deliveries from our West Palm Beach crew — drone, twilight, and interior shoots that helped these listings stand out.

Luxury aerial capture of a waterfront mansion with expansive grounds, private dockage, and strong canal-side curb appeal.

High-resolution drone photography showcasing dock frontage, canal access, and full waterfront property layout from above.

Architectural exterior photography featuring a screened lanai, custom outdoor kitchen, and tropical pool environment.

Cinematic luxury amenity photography highlighting rooftop pool design, skyline views, and elevated lifestyle marketing.

Luxury exterior photography centered on a resort-style pool, shaded cabana, and polished backyard entertaining space.

Wide-angle interior photography capturing vaulted ceilings, stone fireplace detailing, and seamless indoor-outdoor living.
El Cid, Flamingo Park, Grandview Heights and Old Northwood are full of 1920s Mission, Mediterranean Revival and frame-vernacular houses. The detail — barrel tile, arched openings, original casement windows, pecky cypress — is the reason these sell, so it gets photographed deliberately rather than as background.
Condos along the waterfront sell on the view across the Intracoastal to Palm Beach island. We shoot the view line from the balcony and the unit, plus the amenity deck and the walk to Clematis and Rosemary Square.
Dock, seawall and the aerial that shows the crossing to the island and the route to the Lake Worth Inlet. On this stretch the water view is frequently the majority of the price.
Warm stucco, terracotta and mature landscaping photograph best in the last light of the day, which is also when the interior glow through original windows reads as charm rather than as a dark room.

Two things shape a shoot here more than anything technical: a historic housing stock that does not photograph like new construction, and the most unpredictable drone airspace in South Florida sitting directly across the water.
Palm Beach island is subject to VIP temporary flight restrictions that can appear at short notice and extend across the Intracoastal into West Palm Beach. A TFR is an absolute prohibition — no LAANC authorisation overrides it, and it is not something a pilot can work around. We check active and scheduled TFRs the day before and the morning of any aerial here, and if one is in force the drone portion is rescheduled at no charge. Aerial work is flown by FAA Part 107 certificated remote pilots; LAANC authorisation is filed by the pilot before every controlled-airspace flight.
PBI sits west of downtown and its Class C airspace covers much of the city, so ordinary flights need LAANC authorisation with an address-specific ceiling. Between the Class C shelf and the island TFRs, West Palm Beach is the market where we are least willing to promise an aerial before checking.
1920s houses were built before air conditioning and before open-plan living: rooms are compartmented, ceilings are lower than modern buyers expect, and original windows are small. Shooting these the way a new-build is shot produces cramped, dim images. They need flash-ambient blending and careful composition from corners rather than a wide lens jammed into a doorway.
Homes inside a designated historic district carry restrictions on exterior alteration that buyers ask about immediately. Photographing the façade honestly — including the original features that are protected — answers the question before it becomes a showing objection.
Palm Beach County listing volume concentrates between November and April, when seasonal residents are in residence and buyers are physically here. January and February shoot slots go early; June to September is quieter but afternoon storms shorten the usable day.
The older neighbourhoods have serious tree cover, which throws hard dappled shadows across façades through the middle of the day. Exteriors here are shot early or late, when the light is even, rather than at noon.
Aerials show the Intracoastal frontage, the crossing to Palm Beach island and the position of a downtown tower relative to the waterfront. Every flight is planned against both the PBI Class C ceiling for that address and any active or scheduled VIP temporary flight restriction over the island — the one condition no authorisation can override.
Drone photographyParticularly useful on historic homes, where the compartmented floor plan is the single thing buyers cannot work out from a photo gallery. A scanned tour with measurements shows how the rooms actually connect and stops a stream of layout questions.
3D tours and MatterportFor a character home the walkthrough carries the detail a still gallery compresses — the door hardware, the tile, the light moving through a room. For a downtown tower it carries the walk from the lobby to Clematis Street.
Video walkthroughsThe strongest single frame a West Palm bungalow produces. Warm light on stucco, landscape lighting on, and the interior glowing through original windows — roughly a 20-minute window, planned rather than attempted.
Twilight photographyUseful on estate-sale historic homes with dated or absent furnishings, where buyers struggle to picture a modern life in a 1925 floor plan. Staged frames are labelled as digitally altered for MLS disclosure.
Virtual stagingWest Palm Beach is priced from the same square-footage matrix as the rest of South Florida, with no Palm Beach County travel fee. Historic-district bungalows usually sit in the first or second tier; Intracoastal-front homes and larger estates land higher. Book by phone: no deposit — invoiced after you approve the gallery.
